Slash or Smash - one and two handed perks overhaul WIP

$
0
0
Slash or Smash is a complete one and two-handed perks overhaul. I didn't like that in vanilla - figting with 1h sword is almoust same that fighting with war axe or mace. I'm trying to make playstyle more different with each weapon. Now each weapon in 1h have two unique perks and in 2h each weapon have three unique perks. I  add few perks for spellsword/duelist/assassin with 1h weapon in right hand and nothing/spell in left hand and two perks for daggers. And in this mod are two types of dualwielding perks  - for swords/daggers and for axes/maces. Swords/daggers very fast - but do less damage, axes/maces slow but do huge damage. No more crazy attack speed with mace and dagger/sword.

I also add five masterperks in one handed and three in two-handed  at 100 lvl for different classes/playstyles - only one can be selected. 1 for spellsword(or spellaxe/spellmace/spelldagger :)), 2 for tanks, 1 for assassin/bladedancer, 1 for berserk, and 3 for different types of warriors in two-handed.

One-handed perks:
Armsman(3lvls 15/40/80) - One-handed weapons do 25/50/75% more damage.
Fighting stance(20) - Power attacks with one-handed weapons cost 40% less stamina when left hand is free or with spell.
Snake Bite(25) - Hit by dager has a small chance paralyze target.
Bladesman(25) - Attacks with swords cause extra bleeding damage  (3 per 3 sec.).
Lumberjack(25) - Axes do 15% more damage.
Bone Breaker(25) - Maces do 25% more damage by power attacks
CriticalCharge(35) - Can do a one-handed power attack while sprinting that does 50% more damage.
Assassin's stab(50) - Attack by Dagger has 50% chance to ignore armor.
Deadly Whirlwind(50) - Side power attack with swords do 30% more damage with 5% chance kill target
HackAndSlash(50) - Standing and side power attacks with axe do a serious injure (bleeding effect - 10 per 6 sec. ).
Giant Punch(50) - Standing and forward power attacks with mace have a 25% chance to knockdown target.
Duelist(60) - 25% attack speed bonus when left hand is free or with spell.
Dual Flurry(70) - Dual wielding attacks with swords or daggers are 40% faster.
Dual Savagery(70) - Dual wielding power attacks with maces and axes are 20% faster and do 50% bonus damage.
Flurry and savagery don't stack
Turtle Stance(70) - When shield equipped all power attacks cost 20% less stamina and do 20% more damage with chance to cut head.
Paralyzing Strike(80) - Backwards power attack has a 25% chance to paralyze the target.

One handed Masterperks(can choose only one):
Might and Magic  - One-handed weapons do 15% more damage and each attack  increase target weakness to magic by 20% for 10 seconds, here is video how it's work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSqpk1W7Rcw
Send to Sithis - Swords and daggers do 10% more damage and have 3% chance to kill a target.
Best offence is good defence - One-handed weapons do 10% more damage, 20% chance to ignore melee damage.
Best defence is good offence - One-handed weapons do 20% more damage. Power attacks has 25% chance to scare enemy(fear spell effect).
Berserker Rage - When equipped two axes or maces, you do double damage when health is below 50%, and have 30% chance to kill target when health is below 10%

Two-handed perks:
Barbarian(3lvls 15/40/80) - Two-handed weapons do 25/50/75% more damage.
Deep Wounds(25) - Attacks with greatsword cause extra bleeding damage(6 per 6 sec).
Limbsplitter(25) - Battle axes do 20% more damage.
Skullcrusher(25) - Warhammers do 30% more damage by power attack.
ChampionsStance(30) - Power attacks with two-handed weapons cost 20% less stamina.
Shock(50) - Forward and backward power attacks by greatsword have 25% chance paralyze target.
Reaper(50) - Succesfull battle axe standing and side power attacks make huge injures (20 per 6 sec).
Destroyer(50) - Backward and forward power attacks by warhammer do 30%  more damage(stack with skullcrusher). (Yes, warhammers have the simpliest bonusses,  just  one strong hit = one dead, weapon for real Orc :) ).
Sweep(60) - Sideways power attacks with two-handed weapons hit all targets in front of you. Same as in vanilla i just decrease level to 60.
Mortal twist(70) - Side power attacks with greatsword do 30% more damage with a 10% chance kill target (similar to deadly whirlwind).
Execution(70) - Backward power attack with battle axe do 40% more damage with 15% chance kill target (more chance because hit target by backward attack is harder than with side).
Earthquake(70) - Can do sprint forward power attack with warhammer which do triple damage(attack has giant slam effect). I'm not sure about this perk, maybe it need to be reduce.
Warmaster(90) - All two-handed weapons are 15% faster (perk work but first time it's hard to see the change).

Two-handed Masterperks(can choose only one)
Knight - Two-handed weapons do 20% more damage, 50% more damage when riding horse
Furious - Two-handed weapons do 30% more damage. Power attacks has 25% chance to scare enemies(fear spell effect).(with sweep perk you have a chance scare two/three enemy per hit )
Battle monk - Two-handed weapons do 20% more damage. +100 armor when unarmored. I recommend for this perk any mod which add battlestaves for better immersion
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bleeding don't works on undeads, ghosts and dwemer robots.
Knockout don't work on giants and dragons
Fear works on enemies below 70lvl.
Send to Sithis work on everyone and stack with mehrunes razor
I didn't add perks with critical hits  because it's worked bad in vanilla
I also don't use ignore armor perks for maces and warhammers, because in my opinion it looks strange when you for example do much more damage to bandit chief in strong heavy armor than to sabercat or frost spider without armor :).

It is an alpha version of mod. All perks should work fine, I test it on clean and modded skyrim, but there may be some small glitches. And I'm not sure about balance, maybe some perks need to be increased/reduced.

I'm not perfect in English, so sorry if some names or description look weird/incorrect.

KARANDIROO

$

0
This is a 12-level dungeon for characters  level 15 or above. It is non-linear, spreads in three different directions and some of them may be reached by more than one way. At each one of the 3 alternatives there will be  a boss fight with a valuable item at its end, and a magic portal that will lead you back to the very first area so you don´t have to go all way back.

The Rock is a restricted area, not an "open world", only some parts are accessible. Don´t go swimming into the ocean, collision boxes will prevent you from going more than a few yards. That fine landscape is for sightseeing only, there is actually nothing there.  There is an adventurer´s corpse in the stilthouse near the shore. Nearby you will find the book "Grim tales of Tamriel- The Karandiroo". It will tell you the dungeon´s history and explains many of the things you will see inside there. Loot the corpse and you will find an "adventure´s note". Read it to get some advice on the most puzzling levels (now, if you want a REAL challenge, DON´T READ IT!). Depths of Karandiroo is very dark, I put a barrel with torches and light scrolls at its entrance. TIP: The way is down, follow the lights.

Defeat the three invisible bosses (yes, they ARE partially invisible- this is not a bug or a missing mesh) to get three powerful enchanted itens. Moreover, there are three new itens hidden somewhere in the dungeon, only the good dungeon crowlers will be able to find them: chainmail daedric cuirass, fire and ice ring and imperial gladius

INSTALLATION
*******************************************************************************************************************

- Extract Karandiroo.esp and Harandiroo.bsa to your "data" folder.  - Add a check to Karandiroo.esp at your game start screen to activate the mod... and play!  - Install the updates when they are released.   The boat to The Rock is located nearby Dawnstar.

*******************************************************************************************************************
BUGS AND ISSUES
*******************************************************************************************************************

- Sometimes bone greatsword and bone daggers stand "floating" on the ground after you kill undead assassin and undead

champion.

- Too many quest and new land mods may interfere with the sounds. Activate only the necessary ones.  You should report any bug/glitch you find.

by. Noxcrab (mhc9840)

[ Descriptions ]

Requiem - Noxcrab's Tweaks is a group of minor tweak mods for Requiem-The Roleplaying Overhaul. More tweaks are to be added time to time.

---------------------------------------

[ Automaton Resistance Tweak ]

Changes the resistance of Automatons.
Automatons will be weaker to Frost as much as they are to Shock.

Which would be like below :
Fire : 80% / Frost : 25% / Shock : 25%

[ Craftable Items ]

Adds new craftable items to use in combat.
Also modifies Alchemist vendors' leveled lists to make Elemental Salts and Dwarven Oils more common.

Added Items :

Fire / Frost / Shock Bomb (Scroll) : 150 instant Fire / Frost / Shock damage, area 12. Weight 1, price 150.

Vial of Spider Venom (Scroll) : 6 Poison damage for 20 seconds, paralyze for 1 second (resisted by 75+% Poison resist). Weight 1, price 150.

Flaming Oil (Scroll) : 10 Fire damage for 5 seconds, creates wall of fire that does 10 Fire damage for 10 seconds. Weight 1, price 150.

Steel Dart (Scroll) : 30 instant Physical damage and gives small Marksmanship skill xp. Sneak attack does 2x damage and gives small Sneak skill xp. Silent like Bows/Crossbows (projectile makes noise). Benefits from Archery damage bonuses - Perks (Ranged Combat Training, Precise Aim), Fortify Archery effects and Requiem Stat Bonus (Stamina). Weight 0.8, price 9.

+) Steel Darts cost 8 Stamina to throw. Halved by Ranged Combat Training perk.

Recipes :

Fire / Frost / Shock Bombs : (Craft at Forge) 1 Fire / Frost / Void Salt, 1 Steel Ingot, 1 Dwarven Oil. Requires Arcane Craftsmanship perk.

Vial of Spider Venom : (Craft at Cooking Pot) 3 Venomous Spittle. Requires Alchemical Lore Rank 1.

Flaming Oil : (Craft at Cooking Pot) 3 Dwarven Oil. Requires Alchemical Lore Rank 1.

Steel Dart (3) : (Craft at Forge) 1 Steel Ingot, 1 Firewood. Requires Craftsmanship perk.

+) Steel Darts are very rarely sold by Blacksmiths.

[ Destruction Touch Spells ]

Adds more On-Touch based Destruction Spells. Fire / Frost / Shock. (Venom is excluded because that spell type is severely underpowered at the base, and it's hard for me to balance the thing out)

Novice : Fiery / Icy / Lightning Touch. Base Magnitude 20, Base Cost 27.
Apprentice : Fiery / Icy / Lightning Hand. Base Magnitude 25, Base Cost 34.
Adept : Fiery / Icy / Lightning Grasp. Base Magnitude 40, Base Cost 75.

(The spells cost about 2/3 than their ranged counterparts of same tier and same element.)

The spells include hidden special effects and Destruction perk-based effects, like Slow effect on Icy Hand/Grasp, Cremation perk's Fear effect on Fiery Grasp. They also do instant damage, not 1 second damage over time.

But also, to prevent quick spamming of the spells to deal extreme damage, their casting time is increased from 0.1 to 0.3. This is still somewhat faster than other spells (e.g. Firebolt being 0.4)

All Spell Tomes are added into Leveled Lists, and when taking Novice & Apprentice Destruction perks, you can choose to learn the new spells. For Novice, you can learn all three, and for Apprentice, you can learn Fiery/Icy Hand. Other spells are excluded because of the limit on the size of 'spell-learning-list'.

[ Dragon Resistance Tweak ]

Changes the resistances of Dragons to make them generally more resistant to all elements, while cutting down their invulnerability to a certain element.

Fire Dragon : 75% Fire , 25% Shock , 60% Poison Resistance
Frost Dragon : 70% Frost , 25% Shock , 60% Poison Resistance

[ Enchantment Tweaks ]

Some changes for Enchantments.

Fortify Magicka Regen enchantment gets increased magnitude : 25 -> 35
Fortify Health Regen & Magic Resist can be placed on head equips.

[ Enemy Regeneration Tweak ]

Adds more ways to deal with super regen of Dragonpriests and Trolls.

Dragonpriests' regen can also be halved by Sun spells in Restoration.
Trolls' regen can also be stopped by Poison effects (Alchemy & Spells)

[ Scroll Crafting ]

Adds recipes for Scrolls under Tanning Rack. Scrolls require Rolls of Paper, Soul Gems & right-branch Enchanting perks of same tier(level).
Burned Books can be used to make Rolls of Paper, and Court Mages & College Trainers will sell Rolls of Paper (5 each).

Scrolls crafted per Soul Gem will be mostly 2 (3 for some Novice~Apprentice tier). Might seem little, but seeing how Staves use so much charges, that's how I find it balanced.

[ Toggle Enchantment ]

Adds a power that lets you toggle enchantment usage on weapons. When the power is active, the enchantment on your weapon will not apply and will not cost any charges. Be careful with staves! If the spell on your staff is a 'channeled' spell, casting the spell when the toggle power is active will cause all charges to be drained.

How this works is that when you have the power active, enchantment charge cost for your weapons is multiplied by 1024, and thus it'll work like you're out of charges. You also get the 'this weapon needs recharging' message, but can't help with that... If there are some 'special' enchantments that work different, this power may not work properly, but for the most part it should.

NOTE : You have to add yourself a perk using Console Command. Follow the steps.
1. Type : help "Toggle Enchantment Perk"
2. Check the EditorID of the perk.
3. Type : player.addperk (EditorID)

NETHER'S FOLLOWER FRAMEWORK
Looking for a multi-follower framework that is easy on game resources and gives you the choice between animal or humanoid companions, with as little as one or as many as 10 at a time? How about a system that also provides a wealth of interesting features, both immersive and quality-of-life, to allow you to tailor the framework to your own style of gameplay?

Look no further,  Nether's Follower Framework is that and more!

This mod has 4 goals in mind:
- Be compatible with as many other mods out there as possible, so that you can use it alongside your favorites.
- Provide companion features that are familiar and useful but also engaging and interesting.
- Make preferences optional and undoable, so that companions (and your game) don't get broken along the way.
- Offer interesting options but also keep it resource-friendly and script-engine light.

This framework is intended to be used with followers that use the default follower system. In other words, hook into the standard Dialogue Follower quest (most companions on the Nexus). However, there is also an optional feature that allows you to Import custom followers so that they can also make use of many aspects of this mod (no guarantees, of course, but has been tested with many unique followers out there).

This mod does require SKSE and SkyUI, but those components allow me to deliver streamlined and engaging options to you, that wouldn't be possible without.

NFF is crafted by a follower fanatic with many years of gaming and programming experience who loves putting together a rotating group of adventurers together to accompany his dragonborn on adventures in Skyrim. For the [s]Nerds![/s] (ahem...) Nords!

This a backward port for Skyrim Legendary Edition by request.
You may post about bugs, read changelog and so forth at the Special Edition Page. Please notate that you are using LE when reporting bugs/asking questions.
This mod uses features that are common to both LE and SSE, so should be 99.9% compatible. I wish to make it very clear that I only play the SSE version and therefore cannot provide direct, realistic support for LE as I won't be spending enough time in it for that to be fair. Consider this to be Use at Your Own Risk, with no guarantees of functionality provided. For all intents and purposes this should work fine but I'm being brutally honest with you, whether anyone feels that is fair or not.

How to Solve Some Issues:
- Sort your Mods with Loot.
- Put nwsFollowerFramework.esp at the end of your load order, even if Loot puts it somewhere else and no, I don't care where it puts it. Heck, even make a rule in Loot to put it at the end.

Core Features
- Up to 10 Followers (flexible, can be humanoids or animals).
- No starter bow or arrows.
- Integrated Interesting NPC support (requires iNPC, obviously)
- Explicit support for Serana and Sofia.
- Plenty of options, below, all at your choice, set with a robust MCM menu. If you don't like something, it's very likely you can turn it off.
- Detailed PDF Guide provided, for explaining all features.
- Optional (vanilla + DLC) scripts replacement if you have a problem getting the framework to "stick". Option as well for RDO.
- 3DNPC is supported natively, like vanilla followers. Make sure the option in the FOMOD is checked.

Sandboxing
- Allow Followers to Sandbox when you are doing passive tasks.
- Set Followers to only Sandbox In-Town.
- Auto-Sandbox in Town Interiors, Your Homes or Locations you determine.
- Toggle off for any specific Follower.
- Allow Followers (and other NPCs) to Sandbox multi-level interiors.
- Followers can be individually set up to craft and/or interact when sandboxing. "Craft" in this sense is not a sim, but it does give them something actual to do while hanging around with some minor conveniences/buffs. Interaction is currently limited to ordering drinks at the taverns.

Mount/Riding Support
- Allow Followers to use spawned horses provided by this mod.
- Allow Horses to disappear when not being ridden or have them stay around.
- Select breed and effects of their horse, select breed globally.
- Provide Riding Package support only if another mod provides a horse system but no packages.
- Toggle off for any specific Follower.

Combat
- Set combat and non-combat distance of Followers.*
- Place Followers in a Healer or Tank Role.
- Choose from 10 different combat styles for Followers.
- Reduce Infighting between Followers.
- Optionally Disable bleedout recovery keeping them down during a fight.
- Revive fallen followers with health potions.

Movement
- Catch Up teleport (and On-Demand Ability for player)
- Can Control distance and polling time.
- Enable a +25% Movement Boost for faster following.
- Reduce interpolation between walk/run state changes (faster reaction).

Actions
- Create/Manage up to 10 "Home Bases" for your followers, where they will go when you dismiss them. Can set up work and relax locations, optionally. You can rename Bases and all locations, move followers to/from bases and visit your bases at any time.
- Regard System for Followers - relationship system that is more of their respect for you as an adventuring partner. Awards some abilities and benefits.
- Improve Follower Stealth AI when out of combat. They will not initiate combat, chatter and they move in close.
- Extinguish Torches when you and Followers are stealthing.
- Cause Follower Torches to Expire when being used.
- Stop Idle Chatter on all or selected followers (or only allow it while sandboxing)
- Prevent Followers from drawing weapons when you do.
- Followers will not set off basic traps (equivalent of LightFoot perk). Optional via installer.
- Followers get out of the way when you get very close to them.
- Followers can Auto-Recharge weapons they use or use filled soul gems (not player filled).
- Learn skills from your followers when fighting with them in combat (Affinity system).
- Teach Followers spells by trading spell books to them and/or directly teaching the spells you know. Works with spell mods!
- Set any Follower to Essential (or reverse it). While in the Framework, all Followers are Protected.
- Change the Behavior of Followers (morality, crime, etc).
- Set the Damage Multiplier of followers, affecting their attack damage.

Gear
- Set up Adventuring Gear for a Follower, telling them what to wear while they are following you. This is gear enforcement NOT outfit managment.
- Storage system for re-applying Adventuring Gear when re-recruited. Storage for up to 50 individual Followers, one storage set per follower.
- Copy their default outfit into your inventory (for custom armor, mainly).
- Set a Follower to only equip headwear, shield, quiver and/or weapons while in combat.
- Blades compatibility for multiple followers plus the ability to give followers the blades gear instead of changing their base outift. Only supports SkyHaven Temple Restore and Expanded at this time.

Control
- Issue Commands to all Followers or individual ones at a distance.
- Commands for All Followers: Wait/Follow, Toggle Sandbox, Combat/Follow Distance, Summon and Dismiss.
- Commands for Single Followers (when facing follower and in your sights): Wait/Follow, Trade, Favor, Set Adventuring Gear and Dismiss.
- Variety of hotkey customizable commands.

Info
- Much like a character sheet, you can view Stats, Skills, Perks and Abilities of your followers.
- Convenient History feature allows you to see where your past followers are and either move to them or move them to you.

Expendables
- Enlist the help of non-essential (inconsequential) NPCs by bribing them to join you, adding them to the framework.
- Offer them varying amounts of gold, with more gold equaling a greater chance they will join you.
- Repeatedly hiring the same NPC will eventually make them join you free of charge.
- Experimental feature but works on most non-essentials, even those provided by other mods. Use with caution. They will retain vanilla dialogues, so be wary of some options while they are with you.
- You can bring them to your level and allow them to go up in level as you do by using the optional batch file (install MANUALLY to your main Skyrim directory). Open the console, make sure they are selected and type: bat nfflevel

Extras
- Divorce your wife or husband and marry someone else (follower or not!).
- Apply a Weekly Follower Cost to Followers (as a gold sink).
- Share the Wealth with Followers when you find big hauls of gold (gold sink).
- Call Player Horse ability with hotkey support.
- Track the whereabouts of Follower via a quest.

* - Custom Followers are usually completely outside of the Framework but can be Imported to use any feature not shown with "*" above. Importing allows them to "borrow" a Follower Slot, so they count towards the max limit. Custom Follower here specifically means any Follower with their own follower framework outside of the vanilla system (Serana, Sofia, Recorder, Arissa, and so on). This includes Custom Pets that have their own follower framework outside of the vanilla system. Not all imported followers are compatible.

- Pets (Animal Companions) under this Framework use most of the features that Followers do. However, all races in the game are governed by behavior files meaning that pets will do what they want to do at times. Example: Dogs will sit when the player stops whether you have them set to sandbox or not.

Do Not Import These Followers (incompatible):
- Inigo
- Shingchen Holysee Knight Followers.

REQUIREMENTS
- SKSE64
- SkyUI
- Dawnguard - Must be installed and enabled.

- Fuz Ro D-oh (OPTIONAL)
- PapyrusUtil (OPTIONAL)
- ConsoleUtil (OPTIONAL)
- Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch (OPTIONAL)

RECOMMENDED
- Convenient Horses for follower horses.
- Simple NPC Outfit Manager for actual outfit management, if you don't like the Adventuring Gear feature of NFF.

INSTALLATION
I recommend using a mod manager to install this mod. It is in FOMOD format.

The following scripts, if they are present, will be overwritten:
- DialogueFollowerScript (and QF_DialogueFollower_000750BA) - retains original functions but alters their contents to segway into the framework controller script.
- FollowerAliasScript - as above.
- TrainedAnimalScript - as above.
- TrapBear - Altered to not affect followers. You can optionally remove this script if you want vanilla follower trap behavior.
- TrapTriggerBase - as above.
- BladesChangeOutfitScript, FreeformSkyHavenTempleAScript, QF_FreeformSkyHavenTempleA_000E38C9 - For adapting to the Blades recruitment and adding equipment option.

New Game
This is the recommended approach. You can begin your game with this mod enabled. Startup impact is minimal.

Existing Game
Likely works best if you have never installed a multiple follower mod (AFT, EFF, UFO, etc).
1. Follow the directions for uninstalling your multiple follower mod, including uninstalling the mod.  Your followers should all be dismissed.
2. Make sure your current follower is dismissed, along with any animal follower.
3. Travel to a new cell (any indoor location, for example).
4. Save your game.
5. Exit and Install Nether's Follower Framework.
6. Load your game. You should get text on the screen saying that the mod is installed.
7. Save your game and then load the save you just created.
If all went well you should be using the framework. I cannot guarantee it will work flawlessly in an older save file, especially one that previously had a different framework installed. You may wish (at your own peril/comfort) to use a save game cleaner. Personally I use Fallrim Tools and I haven't had an issue with it.

Updating
Best behavior in most cases is to uninstall then install using the FOMOD installer.

Load Order
Place this mod near the end of your load order.

Loot
If LOOT constantly puts it somewhere else, place near the end of your load order and make a rule in LOOT. LOOT may say to set Riding Only when using with Convenient Horses. You can do that OR turn off horses for followers you want to buy horses for using CH.
SCRIPT LOAD
The script load of this Framework is pretty light to minimal. Most of the scripts and functions are fire and forget and use game events when possible. There are some exceptions. If you don't want any Papyrus load, you can turn off some features to have zero load in real time.

Sandboxing - The sandbox function uses a single update loop that checks in real time. At around 7 seconds of the player being more or less idle, Followers will sandbox.
Catch-Up "Teleport" - The catch up system is on the same single update as Sanboxing but only checks once per 10 seconds. It isn't a necessary component as you can use the Teleport ability to pull all Followers and Pets to you.
Check Count - This checks the follower and animal count and adjusts it occasionally (single loop in real time, quick check every 8 seconds). I do recommend you leave it on. The only time it does anything in depth at all is if my animal and follower count doesn't match Skyrim's. You can turn it off and check manually (or on location change event) - this might feel more kludgy though.
Import Adjustment - Same single update loop as Check Count, this simply removes an Imported follower from the Framework. You don't use my Framework to Dismiss or Recruit Custom Followers, they use their own system so this is just a clean up as their follower system doesn't directly talk to mine. Zero impact when no Custom Follower is imported.

So... If you really, truly want zero impact, turn off Sandboxing, Catch-Up, Check Count and don't Import any custom followers. You might want to try these systems first before just turning them off. These systems are actually pretty light.
COMPATIBILITY

Compatible with most mods that affect followers, including:
- Immersive Horses (switch Mount Support in my mod to Riding Support Only)
- Convenient Horses (switch Mount Support in NFF to Riding Support Only OR disable horse on a per-follower basis)
- My Home is Your Home (NFF has similar feature with setting up larger "bases of operation")
- Simple NPC Outfit Manager
- Relationship Dialogue Overhaul
- Interesting NPCs
- Skyrim Horses Renewal
- Sofia

*** The above mods work in my game. Some have reported issues with these mods. However, I have had no issues with them, nor CTD or anything of that nature.  If I cannot replicate an issue, that issue cannot reasonably be fixed.

This framework will not make any followers explicitly compatible with any of the mentioned mods, except iNPCs.
Mods that affect marriage or children should be fine as those systems are untouched.
Not fully tested with Animal mods. In theory, most should be fine. I have tried Dogs of Skyrim so far.

Not compatible with:
- Any multi-follower framework mods (AFT, EFF, UFO and similar).
- Any mods that directly affect the recruitment of Blades.
- Not compatible with mods that teach spells by trading books with Followers.
- Not compatible with Better Stealth AI for Followers (NFF does have some similar features)
- May conflict with any mod that enforces the following game settings: fFollowSpaceBetweenFollowers, iFriendHitCombatAllowed, fCombatTeammateFollowRadiusBase, fCombatTeammateFollowRadiusMin, fAIDistanceTeammateDrawWeapon, fFastWalkInterpolationBetweenWalkAndRun, fJogInterpolationBetweenWalkAndRun.

Potential Conflicts:
- Mods that enhance follower combat AI will likely override this mod. This affects the Healer Role and Combat Distances.
- Mods that affect how followers travel with the player will likely override this mod. This affects Follow Distance. moving out of the way, Sandboxing, Stealth movement.

Slight variation between CBBE and UUNP bodies due to slight variation between CBBE and UUNP (see screenshots).

Usual caveats that anything I've touched with my mod might affect other mods, which should only be the wilderness bits.

Q/A/Comments

CBBE?
Why, yes!  Check the download options.

RaceMenu?
Sorry, but no.

Can I have this really specific option (flags, hair colour, etc)?
Generally, there's no issue providing options but really, this is modding.  When it comes to changing basic flags and packages (marriageable, kill-able, follower, etc), TES5Edit is your friend, as is the CK and even nifSkope/gimp, which are all freely available and fairly fundamental.  Also, too many options just clutters the downloads and makes it more difficult to track changes and updates.

Lore!
To the floor!

Why that location?
It's as good as anywhere, it's not a tavern, and it's a bit out of the way.

Why don't you use FaceLight?
I like my lighting like my follower girls: natural and believable.

Isn't this basically the same as your last description?
Yea.  I got lazy.  Copy+Paste/edit for me.

Balanced Dual Casting

$
0
0
My personal take on dual casting.  In the base game, Impact instantly breaks Destruction magic based characters by making combat trivial and boring once you acquire it. To offset this, the damage/effectiveness increase you get from dual casting is pitiful whereas the cost increase is ridiculous by comparison. This leads to spells that cost far too much and don't deal much damage, but keep enemies permanently stun-locked and standing in one place until you kill them or run out of magicka. Reducing the effectiveness of Impact allows for a significant increase in the cost to power ratio for dual casted spells without breaking combat.

Changes as stated above:

"Impact" Destruction Perk stagger chance reduced from 100% (staggers every cast) to 33% (1/3rd of a chance to stagger).
Dual casting cost reduced from 2.8x to 2.5x and effectiveness increased from 2.2x to 2.5x.

Note: Though primarily aimed at balancing Destruction spells, the dual casting multiplier changes will also affect other schools. Dual casted Illusion spells will work on slightly higher leveled enemies, dual casted Restoration spells will heal more, etc.

The fireball image has nothing to do with the mod, just needed to upload at least something. Source.

True Equipment Overhaul - Medium Armors

Morrowind-Inspired Armor System
Light Armor is vastly superior to Heavy Armor in vanilla game.
TEO fixes this by rebalancing Light Armor and introducing new Medium Armor type.
Light Armors skill tree is renamed to Light-Medium Armors.
No other changes are made to the perk tree, so all perk overhauls are 100% compatible.
Light and Medium Armors are still technically of the same type.
This is the only practical way to do this.
But game mechanics make them two actually separate types.

Light Armor is as cheap and light as before, but is 50% weaker now.
So it is very light and quiet -  the only type of Armor without debuffs for Thief skills.
That's why it's the only reasonable choice for sneaky thieves, assassins and hunters.
It also can be very cheap, so it's used by those who can't afford or don't need anything better.

Heavy Armor is untouched by TEO, so it is still heavy, strong and expensive.
It's a legit solution to those who need maximum protection no matter what the cost.
It has very strong debuffs to Thief skills (Sneak, Lockpicking, Pickpocket).

Medium Armor is as strong as Light Armor was before, but is heavier and more expensive.
It also has pretty strong debuffs to Thief skills (Sneak, Lockpicking, Pickpocket).
A balanced option which provides good protection as well as speed and reasonable cost.
It's not surprising that many soldiers, rangers and mercenaries will prefer it.
And it's not surprising that practical Medium Armor is so popular in Skyrim.
(Nords actually had racial bonus towards Medium Armor in Morrowind)
Armor and Thief Skills
Light Armor is the only reasonable choice for Thief/Stealth characters.
Both Medium and Heavy Armor have strong debuffs to Sneak, Lockpicking and Picpocket.

Armor debuffs
Medium cuirass: -20% sneaking, -10% pickpocketing
Medium helmet: -10% pickpocketing, -10% lockpicking
Medium boots: -30% sneaking
Medium gauntlets: -30% pickpocketing, -40% lockpicking

Heavy cuirass: -40% sneaking, -20% pickpocketing
Heavy helmet: -20% pickpocketing, -20% lockpicking
Heavy boots: -60% sneaking
Heavy gauntlets: -60% pickpocketing, -80% lockpicking

Any shield: -100% pickpocketing, -100% lockpicking

Generic Medium Armors
Vanilla Skyrim offers two comprehensive lines of progression for Heavy and Light Armor.
You know it, Iron -> Steel -> ... -> Daedric and Fur/Hide -> Leather -> ... -> Dragonscale.
Many of vanilla armors are converted to Medium type, but this doesn't break anything.
TEO fully implements not two but three lines of armor progression.

20+ new high-quality armor sets

Thalmor and Vigilants Of Stendarr get their own armors

Stormcloaks, Dawnguard and Companions have more armors

Weapons Rebalanced
TEO implements True Orcish And True Daedric Weapon modules from Weapons and Armors Fixes.
Value, rating, weight and lvl list positions of some weapon materials are switched.
This makes them more balanced and consistent with the lore.
Vanilla: Orcish < Dwarven < Elven, Daedric < Dragonbone
TEO: Dwarven < Elven < Orcish, Dragonbone < Daedric
Reworked Equipment Distribution

Oblivion-Inspired Weapon System

New Weapon Skills
It's actually pretty stupid to divide weapons into one-handed and two-handed.
There is nothing really different between 1H axe and 2H axe, except it's weight.
However 1H sword and 1H axe are totally different weapons.
Nowadays there are also mods which add spears with custom animations.
However, spears still don't have a a specific Weapon type.
So I decided to divide weapons into Bladed and Shafted.
All perk overhauls are compatible.
Basically new system looks like this:

Bladed Weapons (old One-Handed skill)

Short Blades - use Dagger perks - daggers and short swords from mods

Curved Blades - use War Axe perks - katana, scimitar, all other curved swords

(This includes vanilla swords like Orcish and all sabers/cutlasses added by mods)

Straight Blades - use Sword perks - most of vanilla and modded swords

Two-handed Blades - use Mace perks - all two-handed swords.
Shafted Weapons (old Two-Handed skill)

Axes - use Battle Axe perks - all axes, but not halberds

Blunt weapons - use Warhammer perks - all maces and hammers

(This doesn't include quarterstaffs which are a type of polearm)

Polearms - use Greatsword perks - all spears, halberds, glaives and quarterstaffs
Benefits of new system

Spears get their own perks

All perk overhauls are fully compatible

Player now can easily change between 2H and 1H weapons

The whole system now makes more sense from realism point of view

Slash/Pierce/Strike/Critical Damage

Critical Damage was fully reworked.
Now it takes into account your Skill level (Blade, Shafted or Archery).
All alchemy/enchantment bonuses are also accounted.
Overall amount of critical damage now is very significant.

There are now 6 types of damage:

Magic: Fire, Frost and Shock

Non-magic: Slash, Pierce and Strike
All weapons have 1 or 2 types of Damage.
If weapon gets 2 types of Damage it will also be 25% weaker.
For example, Sword (Slash, Pierce) is 25% weaker than Sabre (Slash).

Different weapon classes have different Damage types.
Mods Heavy Armory, Animated Armory, Lost Longswords and Immersive Weapons add many new classes.

NOTE:

If you use Animated Armory, install Plugin Leveled List Version

You don't need any AA compatibility patches (Heavy Armory, Immersive Weapons etc)

TEO will setup correct AA keywords for HA and IW weapons
Bladed Weapons

Short Blades - daggers are Pierce, shortswords (HA) and tantos (IW) - Pierce/Slash, wakizashi (IW) - Slash

Curved Blades - katanas (IW), cutlasses (IW), sabers (IW) and some of vanilla swords are all Slash

Straight Blades - swords are typically Pierce/Slash, but rapiers (AA) are Pierce

Two-handed Blades - real two-handed swords are Slash

but one-and-half-handed swords like longswords (LL) are Pierce/Slash.

I really think now that longswords should be 2H, because when I used 1H they were just better swords.

Also, nobody ever used longsword/bastard sword together with a shield, unlike one-handed arming swords.

So 2H longswords actually are historically accurate
Shafted Weapons
Axes - 1H axes will be Slash, but battleaxes have strong momentum, so they are Slash/Strike.

However, double-edged Axes (IW Double Axes or vanilla Steel Battleaxe) are still Slash.

Blunt weapons - boring but powerful. Strike.

Polearms - spears are Pierce, halberds and glaives - Pierce/Slash, quarterstaffs - Strike.

Blunt weapons and quarterstaffs have 50% lower Critical Damage.

They also have 20% lower Reach.

Armor Properties

All armors, regardless of their type (Light/Medium/Heavy), now also receive properties.

Each cuirass has a single Primary Property

Plate - Slash x0.5

Examples: Iron, Steel, Dwemer, Nordic Plate, Ebony, Altmer

Segmented - Strike x0.5, Slash x1.5

Examples: Scaled, Nordic Carved, Glass, Orsimer, Dragonscale

Soft - Strike x0.5, Pierce x1.5

Examples: Fur, Hide, Leather

Note: Chainmail Armors are considered to be Plate
A cuirass can also have some Secondary Properties

Warm - Frost x0.5

Resistant - Strike x1.5, Fire x0.5, Shock x0.5

Note: Resistant Armors are made of harsh, but brittle non-metal materials

These are typically Crystal-based (Glass, Ebony...) or Bone-based (Chitin, Dragonscale...)

Orsimer Armor is made of metal so it isn't Resistant!
Close-faced helmets and masks also have a Full Property

Critical Damage Chance x0.25

Pierce x0.5

Time between Shouts 100% bigger

Archery 75% worse

Stamina Regeneration 50% slower

More weapons
I recommend these great mods to have a fully realistic range of weapons:

LeanWolf's Better-Shaped Weapons (replacer)

Real Bows (replacer)

Animated Armory

Heavy Armory (patch for AA is available)

Lost Longswords (choose 2H version)

Immersive Weapons (patch for AA is available)

Legendary Skyrim Crossbows

To further integrate these mods together, TEO does some changes to these weapons.
Currently these changes affect only names of weapons.
In next versions TEO will also change their stats

Name changes

Animated Armory: Pike -> Half Pike

TEO is compatible with all perk overhauls except huge ones like PerMa, SkyRe and Requiem.
This means that Ordinator, Vokrii, Better Vanilla Perks are compatible.

TEO is not compatible with mods which change how armor or equipment distribution works:

- hothtrooper44, for allowing me to rework distribution of Immersive Armors to make it more compatible with TEO.
Now I managed to do this as I always wanted:
TEO nearly doubles amount of generic low/medium level armors in game,
and IA provides unique outfits for named NPCs, who are now really memorable.

PrivateProfileRedirector LE - Faster game start (INI file cacher)

Skyrim LE | Skyrim SE | Fallout 4
Problem
The problem this plugin tries to solve comes from the fact that the game uses an old, deprecated and extremely inefficient function to load values from INI files. The function in question is
GetPrivateProfileString
, a relic of 16 bit operating systems. But do you know what is worse than using such a function? Using it hundreds of thousands of times. Apparently the game uses that function for every game setting individually, which means that the same ini file is opened and closed hundreds of times. What really makes this terrible is the fact that for each enabled plugin the game will attempt to read all the same settings from a hypothetical INI file that that plugin might or might not be loading. So you end up with an insane amount of incredibly inefficient calls for each enabled mod plugin. As a solution this mod will hook the functions involved and load the target INI files in memory so that each following call to the same INI file will be much faster as it will read directly from memory and will not require opening the file from scratch again.

The amount of seconds that this mod will reduce your start time by depends on the amount of enabled plugins you have, as well as other things using INI files such as ENB (though ENB comes with it's own loading issues that this mod can't fix). It will be basically imperceptible when used on the vanilla game and will go up from there, shaving off 6 seconds for 50 or so plugins, up to 20+ seconds for 250+ plugins.

Plugin source is available on GitHub.

Solution
When the game, ENB or something else calls
GetPrivateProfileString
first time this plugin will load requested file in memory and return required data. Next time, no file will be loaded and data will be fetched from memory as well. Same thing happens when process tries to write a value to file. Instead of opening file again, parse and save to disk the plugin will write data it to in-memory file and then saves to disk (if allowed). Also all files is saved on game close, if game won't crash in process.

Requirements
SKSE, SKSE Plugin Preloader.

Installation
It's an SKSE plugin, so install like any other SKSE plugin. Extract archive in your game folder or use mod manager.

Uninstallation
Use mod manager or remove all installed files.

Configuration
Plugin can be configures in its own INI file, each parameter is described inside this file.

Q&A
Q: Do I really need this?
A: It depends. If your game starts from shortcut to main menu in split second then no. If it takes longer, this plugin can help. How much time you will save depends on your setup.

Q: Will this work with MO/NMM/Vortex/Kortex (yeah, I had to mention it) or any other mod manager?
A: It was tested with MO2, Vortex and Kortex and no problems was found. NMM have not been tested yet but are expected to work just fine. I can't say anything about compatibility with other mod managers.
MO1 is not compatible.

Q: I installed it and game crashes at startup.
A: Enable log in config file and reproduce your crash. Go to
Data\SKSE\Plugins
, look for file
PrivateProfileRedirector.log
, zip it, upload it somewhere and post a link to it in your issue report. Log file can be more that 100 MB, so don't upload it as is, be sure to compress it.

Thanks to everyone who helped test the plugin, especially AL12.

One day, on the eve of a great battle he was chosen as champion once more, and would again be pitted

to settle their quarrel in a single battle, whatever the outcome. There was a lot at stake for both parties,
and so it was decided that the Followers of Akatosh would supervise to  ensure the rules of engagement

Restores by modifying it a bit (but no new scripts), the content cut in the final version of Skyrim: Windhelm Arena , with its Pit and its 6 NPCs fully voiced (Benkum, Brond, Edorfin, Huki, Liesl, Fellow Prisoner), and also the 12 Pit Fans.

This mod does not add the actual arena quest content back in.

This mod use two interesting unused assets, one for the exterior of the Windhelm Pit, and an alternate version of the 'prison' asset that you can find in the vanilla game. The cut version which would have lead to the arena is much better looking.

Also think of searching in the corpses as well as questioning the NPCs to retrieve books/spells or scrolls or weapons or …

Pensez également à fouiller les cadavres et à interroger les PNJ pour récupérer des livres / sorts ou des parchemins ou des armes ou …

Bugs or Problems

No first person view (the hands) for the "Aurorans"

For the Companions : (Small Dwarven Colossus and Dwemer Dogs)

You can only have one follower at a time: if you want a different one, you need to dismiss the first one before you recruit them.

If you have any problem with the dialog box (Wait - Follow - Trade - Favor – Dismiss), or if telling the follower to return at home doesn't dismiss him, or if you have lost the active follower, you can try this:

Type “²” or "`" or "~" key to get into console, and type:

set playeranimalcount to 0

With Amazing Follower Tweaks , or other mod with followers, if problem to dismiss the followers, you can uncheck this mod (AFT or other) when you launch the game

If problem with the Dialog Box of the followers/ companions (Wait - Follow - Trade - Favor - Dismiss) you can also enter / exit a house or make a fast travel

For the Small Dwarven Colossus Mount :

If your mount disappears (with impossibility to dismount): Be patient a few seconds or Zoom out with the scroll Wheel or FAST TRAVEL (This mount needs a lot of space to move around)

« Thank you very much Ubisoft and associates, specially to Far Cry 4 development team, for the permission to use their assets or part of their assets on my nonprofit, fan-made mods.
Also thanks for the Nexus staff for the recognizement of this permission.

Remembering, as resquested
by Ubisoft, that this content:

It's not endorsed by Ubisoft or associates,
or related to their games, specially Far Cry 4;

It's not made for commercial usage, it's completely nonprofit,
as all of my work, including my fully authoral work;

And i don't own it, so, i don't challenge
Ubisoft's copyright on such assets.

Of course on my mods this assets can be modified or increased in order to fit the lore, mechanic, animations, and other goals, of the The Elder Scrolls mod for the Tes 5: Skyrim, where they are now part here on my nonprofit creative series, but this usage is not endorsed by Ubisoft, just kindly allowed by her.

Ubisoft is showing us again how great and kind she is with the fans.
Thank you very much Ubisoft and associates, and thank you very much Nexus, the only place where i share my work. »
