Holds The City Overhaul

Holds is a city overhaul project which focuses on what I think are the weaknesses of Skyrim compared to the older Elder Scrolls titles. The mod expands upon the cities of Skyrim and adds more settlements, architecture, outfits, books and named characters with their own backgrounds, homes and daily routines while ensuring they feel natural and realistic.

Falkreath, Winterhold, Morthal and Dawnstar have been rebuilt from scratch with their own unique designs. The mod also adds a bundle of new settlements like Amber Guard and Black Moor. Most of these new settlements have been placed far out of the way and hidden from view to not ruin the expansive wilderness theme of the game. The aim of all of this is to create a more memorable and diverse experience, making the cities actually feel like cities hopefully without ruining the natural and realistic design of the vanilla game.

This is not a botanical garden mod, nor is it a beautification mod. Holds aims to stay as lore-friendly as possible and at the same time expand on the backgrounds and stories for its locations.

I started working on this project late November 2012 and have devoted averagely two hours a day to the creation kit. One of the reasons I felt this project was necessary was the announcement of various modding projects adding new content to the game. The problem, for me was how expansive their cities looked compared to the cities in Skyrim. Coming into Skyrim from Oblivion I was expecting there to be a 'Better Cities' mod available early on, but there wasn't and I missed the features the Oblivion City Overhaul brought to the game.

The mod adds a variety of new books written by myself and Alfredasl which attempts to flesh out the land and history of Skyrim. They are spread to three locations: the Book Store in Falkreath, the Haafingar Library in Solitude and The Palace of Kings Library in Windhelm.

Any criticism, questions, and help will be greatly appreciated, even the criticism. However I will have to ask that you make constructive criticism; your opinion does matter and could very well inspire me to make changes, however I have designed this project with myself in mind.

Installation and Requirements

Make sure that you have a stable and performance friendly game.

It is higly recommended to install ENBoost. Holds uses a lot of memory and might crash unless ENBoost is installed.
Check out the STEP guide on how to install ENBoost.
http://wiki.step-project.com/ENBoost

Add:
[Memory]
DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768
ScrapHeapSizeMB=256
in SKSE.ini to make sure you don't get infinite loading screen.

I advice installing the mod manually. I have no experience with the mod installer tools and therefor I cannot be much help, and there have been reported many problems from mod users when installing with these tools. What is important is that Holds is loaded last, the only thing that should be loaded after Holds.esp should be its compatibility patches and alternative performance patches. So an example:

Skyrim.esm
Dawnguard.esm
Hearthfire.esm
Dragonborn.esm
SkyrimFloraOverhaul.esp
Holds.esp
HoldsSkyrimFloraOverhaulCompatibilityPatch.esp
----bottom----

Do let me know if your having any problems :)

Naruto2698 has found a possible fix for those who are experiencing crashes and memory related problems (Experimental):

Here's something that can help people finally get rid of their crashes while using skse and sheson memory patch!

http://forum.step-project.com/topic/6726-common-ctds-freezes-ils-and-memory-issues/

add to your description for people to create a shortcut, and right click it to properties to add -forcesteamloader to the path

so it looks like this:
"C/users/blah/desktop/skse_loader.exe" -forcesteamloader

"I just did this and I'm roaming around solitude crash free upon npc load! and my cells load quicker than before!"

Install the meshes and textures from 'Winter Is Coming - Cloaks' by Nivea. You do not need the esp, but you do need the meshes and textures. Give her an endorsement while you are at it.
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13486/?

Now install Holds into your data folder. Make sure you have compatibility for the mods you suspect would conflict with Holds, see the map on the description page if your unsure, the red marked area's are altered by the mod. Make sure that Holds is at the very bottom of your load order, and that your compatibility patches are beneath the Holds.esp. Now activate Holds and whatever compatibility patches you choose to use in your load order and launch the game. Any problems you encounter can be discussed here on the mod discussion panel, or reported in the bug report panel.

It is advisable to start a new game after installing Holds to avoid annoyances such as the game remembering a bed at a certain location which leaves it stuck in a wall or- something because Holds changes the location.

Hope you enjoy! :)

How to use with Dyndolod

You will need to use the complete or modular version without the compatibility patches activated when creating the LOD. Once that's done you can safely activate the compatibility patches, and play. :)

Current locations affected by Holds

What to expect

Memorable cities and new settlements, named individual characters with daily routines and background stories. New shops and inn's, new designs, new books, new outfits, and new locations and secrets to explore and more content in the future, as well as focusing on the other weaknesses that Skyrim has compared to the other games.

Future Plans

Adding more compatibility patches.

Implementing Dialogues for the characters.

Adding Quests which will be added step-by-step as I complete them.

Implementing new Guilds, as well as working on continuations/conclusions to the vanilla guilds which I felt was left hanging on a poor note.

Adding more Outfits.

Implementing new systems such as Banking, alternative transportation with radiant events, and more.

Help

I would welcome any help with open arms. I will also support anyone who wishes to create patches/fixes/new content for Holds, provided they use my mod as a dependency.

Helping me get noticed, and perhaps volunteering yourself as a developer, writer or voice actor would be very appreciated!

FAQ

Q: I see purple textures on some of the outfits!
A: Your likely missing the meshes and textures of the 'Winter Is Coming - Cloaks' mod by Nivea.
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13486/?

Q: I have found a bug/problem! What do I do?
A: Report the bug in the bug panel. And I will see what I can do.

Q: This mod makes my frame-rate drop at 'X' location(s).
A: This can be fixed by:

1: Unchecking ObjectPostProcessing in your ENB, and lowering your ENB quality. Seriously don't have your game looking like you've lost your contact lenses, its not good for your eyes and not good for your performance.

2: Evaluating your choice of texture and meshes. This is purely subjective as I use as much 4k resolution textures as I can and have an average 57-60fps even in the heaviest area's (Falkreath, Solitude harbor). This depends completely on the quality of your computer and is something your going to have to figure out how to deal with on your own. Alternatively I could be persuaded to create a performance version of Holds.

Q: I crash instantly at 'X' location. What do I do?
A: Report it in the bug panel and make sure you include a list of your Skyrim Load-list, and I will see what I can do.

Q: Is 'X' compatible with Holds?
A: Check the compatibility list: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4029295-installation-guide-and-more/?p=36835215

Q: Can you make 'X' compatible with Holds?
A: Sure, provided the mod author is okay with it. Ask away.

Q: Can I make a compatibility for Holds?
A: Yes you may. Do ask if you have any questions.

Q: I want to create a patch/fix/extra content for Holds, do I have your permission to do so?
A: Not only will I support you, but you do not need to ask me for permission. Provided you make your mod dependent on Holds and do not include any of the meshes, textures and scripts, or claim ownership of Holds.

Q: May I use your meshes and/or textures in my own mod?
A: Ask permission. I do not own everything in the mod, but even so I am comfortable making sure I know who makes use of my own content.

Q: May I re-upload your mod at another mod sharing website?
A: No. This mod is -Mine- and on the Nexus only. If I find out you've stolen this mod or uploaded it as part of some mod-pack then I will be very angry with you.

Q: I was wondering if I might share some idea's and perhaps things I want changed about Holds, where can I do so?
A: Either at a discussion forum, or in the comment section. I welcome new idea's :)

Q: Would Holds be interested in benefiting from my talents? As a voice actor/level designer/writer/quest and dialogue designer?
A: Yes, but I will need to see examples of your previous work first.

Q: I've uninstalled your mod but I still have your LOD, how can I fix this?
A: Use LOD generator to overwrite the Holds LOD. It is very easy to use, follow the instructions.
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/62698/?

Q: I don't like this mod. It is not for me.
A: I am sorry to hear that. Holds is a Project that I have created with myself in mind. I hope you find a City Overhaul that suits your preferences.

BRING ON 2021 FOR THE NEW HE-MAN MOVIE <3

Masters Of The Universe is a blend of sci fi future tech mixed perfectly with barbarian feel world.

This is my first true mod done on creation kit so im sure some of you would do a better job but i will be updating it as i learn more on how to script and so on (im currently on the basics). I am using all 3 DLC Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn. Except in 0.1

If You Use The Trap Door You will find some Swords And A Key To A Area Im Going To Follow On From Etheria which u can get too And Use As Player Home. But Atm Im In Eternia Currently Doing Evergreen Forest To Start. You Can Find The Portal Entrance Near Riverwood Across The River bridge side. or just outside Raven Rock Sols.  He-Man Is There too you can look key from him as a follower or from outside the door on floor. (not sure why he wont follower me in there i added navmesh but must need more,  its a working progress XP but for now he is a tamrieal guy. plus portals to other tamreil locations in the tamreil wing.

again this is my first mod im working on learning what goes where and so on on creation kit nifscope gimp blender and more i bet as i go. so try not to expect too much in the start lol.

More will Be Added With Time. More Eternia and Etheria Locations once im more comfortable with meshes And Rooms In The Castle.

I always wanted this place since starting the game so now i have it so figure why not share  with those like me who dont have it and maybe inspire someone else like i have been to use creation kit and see the other side of this game.

Skygerfall -- Daggerfall's Main Quest in TESV

SSE version is available here.
Introduction
They said it couldn't be done...  Daggerfall is too big to fit in the TESV engine...  And they were, on the one hand, right!  You cannot capture the grand scale or the nearly endless possibilities that exist in a world larger than England!  Yet, for all of its vastness and promise, Daggerfall remains a world unfamiliar to many Elder Scrolls fans.  The mechanics and graphics feel dated to say the least, and its sometimes unreasonable time limits for quests as well as quest-breaking bugs left many players, even back in the '90's, so frustrated that perhaps a majority of players never finished the Main Quest, preferring to simply explore the world on their own terms, joining guilds or Knightly Orders, or becoming a vampire or a wereboar.  And that is a shame, because the Main Quest is actually quite a good story.  The purpose of this mod is not to replace TESII: Daggerfall, but to bring some of its magic and lore to Elder Scrolls fans of the Skyrim generation that would never otherwise experience it, as well as perhaps delight those fans of the original game that would love to see the Main Quest in an updated engine, complete with voice acting, re-mastered music and better graphics.

Please note that the Main Quest of Daggerfall is NOT about choice.  You are role-playing as the Emperor's friend on an important mission, so, while the order in which you tackle these quests is your choice, it is assumed that you want to finish the Main Quest and so you will not be able to refuse the quest-givers' requests.  At this point, there really isn't much of anything other than the Main Quest for you to do in Daggerfall, anyway!

I have worked on this mod in my spare time for a little over two years, and have had a lot of fun learning about various aspects that go into making a large mod the size of a dlc.  I'm not much of a 3D artist, so I've had to rely on a lot of resources to put this mod together, and you will see that the credits list is quite long.  I have tried to include, where possible, those models from artists who have made resources to see something from Daggerfall come to later Elder Scrolls games, such as JMan0WarS, who remade Privateer's Hold for Morrowind as well as Direnni Tower for Oblivion, Lord Berandas and BobJohnson99.  As per Bethesda's instructions, all assets included in this mod for Skyrim have been remade, and not simply ported from the original Daggerfall game.

Dungeons
Doors and corridors!  You never know what terror lurks behind the next door, or around the next bend, or when/if you will escape this seemingly endless maze!  Such is the essence of dungeon crawling in Daggerfall.  All of the dungeons necessary for Daggerfall's Main Quest have been remade to reflect as accurately as possible the essence of the original, hand crafted ones from TESII. The walkthroughs given by UESP were an invaluable aid in reproducing them, and can still be used by you to navigate the dungeons should you get stuck.  (Exceptions: The ridiculous number of teleporters you needed to go through to exit Castle Wayrest's dungeon --in case you forgot to mark an anchor--  has been collapsed so that the first one you encounter on the way beck described by UESP takes you to the final teleportation point, and the puzzle found in Aetherius' Room of Fire has been changed slightly, but if you've played Skyrim you should have no problem here.)  In addition to UESP, Daggerfall Modelling was a great tool to help reproduce not only the main path, but also unique points of interest in the dungeons should you choose to explore.  Privateer's Hold and the realms of Aetherius have been reproduced in their entirety.  However, other dungeons have been somewhat streamlined, so that you cannot get hopelessly lost, as you could in the originals.  I think most players will appreciate the balance.  Scourg Barrow is the only dungeon significantly truncated, since it is a relatively short path to reach Mannimarco, and its remaining aspects of interest merely repeat much of Privateer's Hold.  Additionally, I have constructed an all-new dungeon for the werewolf quest, based upon models that were included in the assets of TESII, but never implemented in any dungeon.  Think of it as restored cut-content!  The procedurally generated dungeons of Daggerfall all mix and match the same elements encountered in the Main Quest dungeons, so once you have completed this mod, you will have experienced nearly all of the elements present in the original game.  (For proper immersion, please bear in mind that the spheres in Aetherius upon which you see the stars or the sun have no collisions, so please try not to levitate outside of them.  If you do, you will see the other parts of the dungeons in a way meant only for use within the Creation Kit.  Such a view could be achieved in the original Daggerfall game if you glitched outside of the walls in any dungeon, but that glitch wasn't very immersive, either.)

Magic
Levitation!  Mark and Recall!  Lock and Unlock!  These spells and more from TESII have been added to enhance your Daggerfall experience.  Levitation uses the method of J3X, which employs rather large, invisible plates that you walk on.  As such, levitation will not work in very small places; i.e., it will not function in elevator shafts.  Please use the lifts provided to go up and down, and do not have a levitation effect active when you do.  (Occasionally, if you re-cast a Levitation spell before the magic effect of the first one runs out, you might find yourself beginning to descend.  If that occurs, re-cast the spell again to stop yourself from falling.)  Jumping and Slowfalling require SKSE, so if you don't want to have it installed for some reason, those two magical effects will not function in your game, though everything else will. Additionally, all of the alchemical ingredients from TESII, with their Daggerfall effects, have been included for your crafting needs.

Gameplay
The entire bestiary from TESII has been reproduced, and you will encounter each and every monster at least once or twice as you play though the mod.  Be warned: Weapons made from low grade materials will not work on all creatures, so make sure you keep that ebony dagger the Emperor gave you handy if you want to be able to defeat some monsters you will encounter even in the opening dungeon!  Some powerful monsters will be encountered underwater, so you might want to install Zartar's Character Behaviors Enhanced in order to enjoy underwater combat!  Out of lockpicks, with no spells available to unlock a door?  Have no fear!  Bash the door open with your weapon!  Lock bashing, using mzin's method, is back, so enjoy!  And you will have the opportunity to become a wearboar!  Once you become infected with the lycanthropy disease (which will occur at least once as you make your way through the main quest, unless you already have 100% disease resistance), if you choose not to cure yourself, you will become a wereboar after three days, instantly changing wherever you may be at the time.  As a wereboar, you will gain 40 points to health and stamina, immunity to disease, and, while in beast form, immunity to damage from iron and steel weapons.  It's overpowered, because it was overpowered in Daggerfall, too!  As with being a werewolf in Skyrim, the only negatives are not being able to gain resting bonuses and being attacked on sight when in beast form, though I may re-introduce the requirement to feed and forced shifts with the moons at a later point, as per Daggerfall.  And speaking of diseases, the crippling effects of Daggerfall diseases are back, so make sure you carry enough cure disease potions, have a cure disease spell, or are immune to disease if you want to survive long!  Also, some creatures can paralyze you for a few seconds, so be sure to carry enough free action potions or gain immunity to paralysis.  (As should be well known to all Daggerfall players, High Elves are immune to paralysis.)  Finally, staves, short swords, mithril and adamantium armor and weapons, as well as clothing and armor mods, have been added to make sure you know you're not in Skyrim anymore!

Worldspace
I tried to make the worldspace's land mass resemble as closely as possible the original Daggerfall map, but scaled down to be roughly two-thirds the size of Skyrim.  Some islands needed to be made proportionally a little larger, and Daggerfall, Wayrest and Sentinel, still large, are now sprawled out over a greater proportion of the land.  Within the walls of these cities, the landscape is mostly flat to be faithful to Daggerfall.  Taverns, shrines and some shops have finished interiors, but many of the buildings are only for show at this point.  Proper landscaping takes a lot of time and talent, and the entire esm-flagged esp for this mod has been produced by only one person: me.  Hence, only areas around points of interest to the Main Quest have been developed to any large extent.  For this release, I see the landscape as merely a prop that needs to look decent when you pass through it, but it is not the main attraction.  While you are able to walk across the entire map, you may fast travel to a location once the quest giver has marked it on your map, which is the same as what you were able to do in the original Daggerfall.

Buying and Selling
There are inns/taverns in Daggerfall, Wayrest, Sentinel, Gothway Garden and Whitefort set up to buy and sell general goods, as well as standard tavern fare (some unique to Daggerfall).  There is a functional blacksmith in Daggerfall across from the player home, as well as court blacksmiths in Daggerfall and Orsinium, who will sell all of the Daggerfall weapons and armor in the game (except for artifacts, of course).  And there are court sorcerers in Daggerfall, Wayrest and Sentinel who will sell all of the Daggerfall spells, ingredients, and potions.  All merchants have a little more gold than their Skyrim counterparts.

Recommendations
In addition to Zartar's Character Behaviors Enhanced for underwater combat, you might consider using

Daggerfall Traits for Skyrim and Spell Crafting for Skyrim to round out your Daggerfall experience.  And if you want to try the original game, now has never been a better time!  You can download the full game for free from Bethesda.  You may also consider playing Daggerfall Unity

, which uses the original assets within the Unity engine, greatly enhancing the graphics, allowing for mods, and is currently available (for free, of course) in a very playable alpha version.

Installation, Compatibility and Requirements
This mod requires all three dlcs (i.e., Legendary Edition), since assets from all of the dlcs have been used to make this mod.  This requirement will not change, so please do not ask.  For performance, Daggerfall.bsa is uncompressed, and the textures are found in a separate Daggerfall - Textures.bsa.  Unlike Special Edition, this separate packaging of the textures will require an empty Daggerfall - Textures.esp to be part of your load order as well, for the same reason as the three .esp's needed for the official High Resolution Skyrim Texture pack.  If you use the High Resolution Texture packs (and the Unofficial High Resolution Patch) , place the Daggerfall-Textures.esp after them.  SKSE is required for the jumping and slowfalling spells, but you can enjoy the mod without using them if you really don't want to install SKSE for some reason.  However, if you do use SKSE (and I highly recommend it), take advantage of its memory tweaks with SKSE ini pre-download for lazy users.  You might avoid some CTD in a heavily modded game!  As an esm-flagged esp, Daggerfall.esp should load with other master files.  If you use the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch, it will load after it and before the texture packs.  As an alternate start mod, it requires a new game, and will be incompatible with anything that modifies MQ101.  It modifies little else, except the interior of Jorrvaskr, Hagravens (who no longer fear water), the PlayerSleepQuest and one unused Skyrim quest from the cut Windhelm arena content, so it should be compatible with nearly all other mods.  Body replacers, however, such as CBBE and UNP, are not compatible, since the mod adds several new armors.  Some of the armors, especially ones derived from Witcher assets, are meant to be worn as a set, and will not work properly with all other armors.  Followers are not recommended, since the exterior worldspace is largely without proper navmesh at the moment.  Since many people also use Alternate Start - Live Another Life, an add-on is provided in the optional downloads section.  If you use other LAL add-ons, LALDaggerfall.esp should load last.  Also in the downloads section, for your convenience, is a .bsa for the assets of Zartar's Character Behaviors Enhanced (MAX COMPATIBILITY - 1st Person All features - 3rd Person Mounted Casting Only Version).  You will still need to download the .esp from the mod's site.  Zartar has given pretty open permission for his mod, as long as credit is given, and, since his mod breaks Dragon riding, it is worth using a .bsa for easy installation and removal.  As Zartar states, his mod involves no scripts, so uninstalling mid game when you need to beat Mirak should be fine.  Please note, for underwater combat to work, you will have to enter the water with weapon or magic drawn.

Permissions
This mod is my gift to the Elder Scrolls community; use whatever I made as you like as long as you credit me, but please respect the wishes and rights of the modders whose resources were used in making this mod, many of whom have released their mods as Nexus exclusives.  For that reason, a port to XBox One seems unlikely, since someone (who isn't me; I will not even try) would have to procure a lot of permissions.

The Future
If there is enough interest, perhaps a team could be formed to landscape the worldspace properly, with navmeshing and random encounters added.  Daggerfall has complete quest lines for the Mages Guild, Fighters Guild, Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood, as well as Knightly Orders, Temples and Templar Orders, and Vampire Clans, with Daedric Quests and much more!  Many things are possible... It really depends on the community's response to this mod whether or not anything more is done.  If you would like to share your opinion or contribute your talent, please consider joining the Skygerfall Discord Server.  This project is not affiliated with The Elder Scrolls Renewal Project (TESRenewal).

Changelog
1.00     Initial Release
1.01     Update - Some optimized meshes, including a minor collisions fix.  Should not be necessary for most users.
1.02     Update - a few minor bug fixes - collisions fixed on a few meshes; correct reward now given by Mannimarco
1.03     Update - Minor bug fixes and, by request, upgrades the Daggerfall dagger quest reward.

Bleed Out

$
0
0
At 25% health the Player and all NPCs (except for Dwarven, Ghosts and Undead) will enter into a critical state. This causes 0% regeneration to Health, Magicka and Stamina while also entering them into a state of bleeding. Bleeding has a magnitude of 1 point per second and will continue until death or until enough health has been regained to clear the critical state. Potions, food and spells can be used to raise health. Once above 25%, stats will regenerate as normal.

ENB - Tribute to Serana

Before everything I want to thank rudy for allowing me to use his base settings for this enb and also helping me alot to learn how enb works.

                                                                                                                         (rxkx22 Seranaholic 1.4)

Installation:

STEP 1:
- Download the LATEST ENB.(This preset heavily utilizes the new grass settings so older versions aren't supported!)
- Copy only "d3d9.dll", "enbhost.exe", and "enblocal.ini" from the Wrapper folder into your Skyrim directory(where the game launcher.exe is, not Data directory).
- Open enblocal.ini and edit it appropriately to your drivers. Be very careful what you do to the [Memory] section.

STEP 2:
- Put the enbseries folder and enbseries.ini file from my mod into the same place.
- (Optional) Put the TTS Weathers in either Skyrim Data directory or zip it, open it with Mod Oragnizer and install it like a mod.
This little mod does some slight adjustments to the weather regions. It increases the chances of aurora weather and moves
some of the weathers around.(Why was there whiterun tundra weather in the Forgotten vale? Maybe my eyes didn't see correctly)

STEP 3: (Optional but the enb is made with these in mind. I have no idea how it would look without them)
- Install Vivid Weathers and disable the esp. You're gonna use it for the amazing cloud textures.
- Install ELFX without exterior weathers, enhancer or anything else.
- Install ELE Lite v0.95.
- (Optional)Install Realistic Sun for enb 240
- (Optional)For stars I use Lorkhan's Vision v2, though this mostly up to your taste.

STEP 4:
- Edit SkyrimPrefs.ini

Here I would heavily suggest that you follow a guide but the most important settings should be these...

bTreesReceiveShadows=1
bDrawLandShadows=1
bShadowsOnGrass=1
bFloatPointRenderTarget=1

- Set RGB Output Dynamic Range in your graphics card control panel to 0-255, instead of the default 16-235.(Thanks rudy)
- Set brightness to lowest (ingame display settings) or set fGamma=1.4000 while you're in SkyrimPrefs.ini.

IMPORTANT!
Almost anything can affect how bright and visible or dark the game looks. From obvious things such as resolution, using shtty VGA cable and
monitor properties and caliberation to things such as how you sit on your chair, how much light enters your room and how tilted your screen is.(literally try it right now). SO if you think my enb is too bright/dark/saturated/whatever you can pres Shift + Enter and go to shader parameters and edit some of the basic settings
in enbeffect.fx and effect.txt.

ENB features + unimportant rambling:

So... whats so significant about my ENB?
Locational weathers... By default all vanilla interiors use the weather you had when you were outside which means if you enter Morthal's inn while having MorthalRainy weather outside, it would use the interior settings from the MorthalRainy weather file. Whats the problem with that? Well if you then go to the vampire cave nearby with that rainy weather it would use the same MorthalRainy.ini interior settings while you're strolling inside the cave.. "Soo?"  - you may ask...
Im sure you can imagine that a deep underground cave having the same interior settings(ambient light!!) as a building with windows in the open in the middle of the day is kinda weird. And unless I use a locational forced weather specifically for the cave, my possibilities with how the Morthal inn and the vampire cave look are greatly limited because if I want to make the cave look the same regardless of the time being night or day as it should be, I have to do the same for the inn. Why would the cave look the same regardless of time of day? Because ITS A FREAKIN DEEP UNDERGROUND CAVE. There are no windows or anything and sunlight doesn't illuminate anything inside. That is why it would make more sense if the interior light is about the same regardless of the time of day because it depends on the torches/firepits inside. On the other hand if I make the settings for interior day and interior night the same, the inn would look pretty weird.

That is why I used locational specific weathers for almost every Skyrim dungeon/cave/dwemer city etc. I remember asking rudy if its a good idea to just put 213987 new entries in the locational_weather file because I haven't seen anyone do it and he said yes. The only problem was that you couldn't find a complete list with all dungeons + dungeon ID. So I did this particular thing... manually. I thought it would just take me a few hours but it took me several days using the coc command to check every dungeon, chose one of the 7-8 dungeon weathers I made, exit Skyrim and write everything in the locational_weather file, reopen the game and coc again to recheck if everything is alright... This was over an year ago mind you.
The enb also includes some LUT presets.

Locational weathers:
- Draugr dungeons(2 versions: dark and really dark)
- Dwemer cities
- Falmer dungeons and caves
- Dawnguard and Dragonborn dungeons
- Forts
- Some regular caves
- Most icy caves
- Lairs, crypts etc
- I should just write anything that isn't a house or a building in civilized place

Unique Locational weathers: (used once only for some of the more special interiors)
- Darkbrotherhood Sanctuary
- College of Winterhold
- Volkihar Castle
- Dawnguard Headquarters
- Most castles and palaces
- several more I don't remeber right now

LUTs:
1st - default
2nd - yellowish, cuts some of the blue away
3d - balanced and similar to default but slightly more yellowish
4th - very desaturated blue that pretty much looks black and white
5th - bloody. Brightness and contrast wise it's like default but the hue goes more to red
6th - bloodier. Like the previous one but higher contrast and much darker.

I mostly use the default and the last one. The LUTs arent't too extreme and will actually look like the normal one in alot of places but with
a slightly shifted color. Try the last one in Castle Volkihar.

TL;DR:
Locational weathers and LUT presets.

Future Plans:

- Release my Enemy Overhaul mod(almost done)
- Tribute to Vivec ENB
- Make alternatives to some of my weathers (because I'm sure alot of people will like this and that weather but really
hate this other one which is way too extreme for their taste.)
- NLVA version or just integration to NLVA. The NLVA weathers are so good I really regret I started with vanilla weathers
- Slight adjustments to some weathers. I actually made this enb a long time ago but always hesitated to post it cuz I always had some things I needed
to finish and by the time I do them, new things appear. I decided to stop this infinite cycle.

Hraghenskaag Labyrinths

DESCRIPTION
Dwemer based dungeon with puzzle orientation. It's gonna be intense and brain breaking to someone, you are warned. (At least one hour gameplay)
Followers are not needed to play this adventure, it could be beaten with one single (breathtaking) fight, but not get too confident to make it this way.
It is recommended to play at least a level 25 character (any type).
To start the journey go to the Arcaneum at Mage's College in Wintherhold and look for a book (as showed in the picture).
This dungeon is not hard considering the combat side, strategy and sharp mind are the keys.

INSTALL/UNINSTALL
After downloading, unpack the provided package and copy both files (esp & bsa) into your Skyrim/Data folder, as usual, or use NMM.
Just remove the afore mentioned files or simply deactivate the mod unticking it through the ingame launcher.
Only vanilla Skyrim up to date is required to run this mod.

BUGS
Everything has been tested but unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to have other people tests in order to have a wider angle of prospective looking for weirdness which I'm sure are lying around, hidden somewhere. So, if you stumble across something unpleasant, please, let me know (However, there should be nothing to actually worry about).

NOTES
Please do not discuss about puzzle solving into the comments page. Have the courtesy to avoid spoilers or the meaning of this mod would be lost (along with all my work).
Not every single puzzle is necessery in order to get this mod finished but one single mistake could end up having you face a real bad time. Some puzzles have unlimited amount of attempts, riddles just a couple; just be careful.
Honestly I have no idea if those puzzles are that hard, since I'm the one who made it and I can't get rid of my "logic" to approach the task with a different mind... for those who might have some serious trouble there is the possibility to "cheat" your way through (use console command "help solutions" searching for a custom note containing all you might need).
Enjoy!

Ahzidal's Armory

$
0
0

Ahzidal's Armory is a small mod that adds variations of every one of six Ahzidal's relics.

First of all, they can now be turned into Light or Clothing versions, since some of these items are perfect for (pure) mages. Secondly, I went a little bit further and created variations of each one. So you can now have Gauntlets of Waterwalking, Boots of Necromancy, Armour of Vision, etc. The main reasoning is this: since you have defeated Ahzidal, you should totally be able to use his enchanting genius to do that.

Furthermore, you can also turn them into rings, circlets or amulets.

Every recipe appears in your crafting menu once the "Unearthed" quest is finished and only if you have corresponding relic in your inventory (that prevents all the recipes from showing up and cluttering your list, like in the pictures). Each item requires the relic (obviously) and either a gold ingot or Ancient Nord Armour (if you want to shift the enchantment to a different piece) or a Corundum Ingot or Linen Wrap if you want to turn it into light or clothing version).

And yes, each of these items count toward Ahzidal's Genius full armour bonus. Keep in mind that the game activates the bonus if and only if 4 relics are worn.

But that's not all. In most of my previous playthroughs, I only used Ahzidal's armour when enchanting, because of the +10 Enchanting Bonus. Thus, I created Items of Genius.

You can turn any four relics into one Genius item (this time only Ring, Necklace or Circlet), and they provide the same bonus as the full set. Since you cannot obviously wear both full set and item of genius, it is not overpowered, and saves you a lot of micro-managing.

Example: you decide to create a Ring of Vision, and turn Gauntlets of Warding into Light version. You will need one gold ring and one Corundum Ingot to do so. Then you realise that neither of the remaining four items suit your character, so with one gold ingot you turn them into Amulet of Genius, which boosts your enchanting once worn.

Most importantly, any of these items can be crafted back. Regular items need a corresponding piece of Ancient nord Armor or Jewelry, and Genius items will need four of them, each for one you sacrificed.

In version 1.2 I changed all the recipes that has anything to to with gold to just use gold ingot instead of necklaces, rings or circlets. I've also added left-hand rings (using slot 60). You have to first craft a ring, and then a new recipe will appear to change it to the left version. Depending on your mod list, you may have to use a mod that changes races, as slot 60 is by default not programmed to show things in first person perspective.
Thanks to duggelz for meshes of the Dawnguard left hand rings.

Questions:

Where do I get Ancient Nord Armor?
UESP tells me that you can craft them if you completed Companions' questline, or find them in Forelhost. However, I allowed myself to also put a lot of these items into the boss chest in Kolbjorn barrow. You will find the full set there, as well as linen wrap, rings, necklaces and circlets. If you have already finished this quest and do not want to go back on Solstheim, you can open console (~) and type in setstage _AA_Kolbjorn_quest 20 . This will open that chest remotely, so you can grab these items.
Warning:

Keep in mind that in order to suit everyone I had to create a crapton of crafting recipes, so it is possible that I might have messed up once or twice. Be sure to save before crafting, and if you find a bug, let me know.

Perkus Maximus users should also note that if you want to use Light Armor, you will have to edit your Armor.xml file in Patchus maximus (found in
\SkyProc Patchers\T3nd0_PatchusMaximus\PMxml). That is because no one before has made Ahzidal's light armour, and upon patching it will become Heavy no matter what.

You will have to substitute

        <binding>
            <identifier>Ebony</identifier> <!-- Draugr -->
            <substring>Ahzidal</substring>
        </binding>

with

        <binding>
            <identifier>Ebony</identifier> <!-- Draugr -->
            <substring>Ahzidal</substring>
        </binding>
        <binding>
            <identifier>EbonyLight</identifier>
            <substring>Ahzidal's Light</substring>
        </binding>
        <binding>
            <identifier>EbonyLight</identifier>
            <substring>Ahzidal's Cuirass</substring>
        </binding>

And then re-run patchus. Be sure to keep copies of xmls and patchus, in case you mess up.

And again, if you find any problems, let me know.

"Listen carefully... This was once the land where the power of the gods was said to slumber. This was once the kingdom of Hyrule. But that blessed kingdom has been transformed by the king that rules the twilight... It has been turned into a world of shadows, ruled by creatures who shun the light.

"The people believed that the Hero of Time would again come to save them... But the hero did not appear... Faced by an onslaught of evil, the people could do nothing, but appeal to the gods. In their last hour, as doom drew near, they left their future in the hands of fate. What became of that kingdom...? None remain who know."

These are the Relics of Hyrule, the shards of an age long forgotten, the remnants of a civilization older than the Dwemer. So old that it was a myth during their time, and little evidence of the civilization remains. All that remain are artifacts: weapons, armor, magic. As you travel through Skyrim, you will stumble across pieces of a long-lost civilization, and will eventually discover what led to its demise.

Unlike similar mods, Relics of Hyrule does not turn Skyrim into a Zelda game, nor does it use Skyrim's engine to remake any Zelda game.

Such an approach, I feel, would be a pale imitation of Zelda, and would greatly reduce the quality of the mod.

My philosophy is that a Skyrim mod should respect the milieu and story of the core game, rather than using it as a simple technological platform to remake
another. I chose to make Relics of Hyrule the way it is after seeing many other mods based on the Legend of Zelda ignore Skyrim's world. The mod also serves to re-imagine and frame the tragic beauty of Hyrule and Termina in the harsh landscapes of Skyrim and Solstheim. Relics of Hyrule adds items from Zelda to vanilla Skyrim locations, but I link them to the world as though they have always been in Skyrim, through lore and secrets. My goal is to make the mod lore-friendly, despite being inherently lore-breaking. It's designed such that you find the relics by playing Skyrim.. There are no quests that guide you, only rumors and forgotten myths (unless you read the Information Guide, of course). This is intentional, as an homage to how games used to be. The original Legend of Zelda did not hold your hand.

In short, Relics of Hyrule is a large mod that adds scores of new weapons, spells, enchantments, enemies, NPCs, dungeons, and experiences that are (hopefully) balanced with the base Skyrim game and integrated into its locations, while connecting Zelda lore to Elder Scrolls lore as a bit of fun that gained a little too much momentum.

The mod has been actively expanding and evolving since August 2013 and will continue to grow in the future, with new content and fixes every few months.

There are no new quests, new lands, or dialogue, and you will not see any main characters from the Zelda franchise in this mod.

With regards to consoles
Relics of Hyrule will not be on consoles, because if it was ported, it would die, one way or another. End of story. I will not be porting it, nor will I be giving permission for others to port it to any console.

With regards to Legacy of the Dragonborn
I am not adding support for Legacy of the Dragonborn, but I am adding a museum to Relics of Hyrule. It will debut in version 6.6. A patch does exist that reduces conflicts with Legacy of the Dragonborn, such as dig sites placed over RoH items, but it does not add a museum space.
I will not be answering questions about Legacy of the Dragonborn.

With regards to The Elder Scrolls VI
I am aware that is will eventually exist. I will not be answering questions about it.

Yes, I will be adding content inspired by this game. Version 6.7 will be dedicated almost entirely to it. I will not be answering questions about it.

INSTALLATION

Here's a video on installation and getting started!
(If you're just updating, skip to the next section)

0. Make sure you have both Dawnguard and Dragonborn. Relics of Hyrule does not require Hearthfire.
There is an old, unsupported No-DLC version of the mod available in the old versions section of the files tab. It is very old and will not longer update, and is therefore missing most of the content available in the full version of the mod.

1. Install SKSE. While Relics of Hyrule largely does not rely on it, it may need it in the future. And it's just good to have.

2. Download the Main File or Split Core first. If you use NMM, please download the Main File manually and install using NMM. Downloading and installing all at once can cause issues with mods as large as Relics of Hyrule.

UPDATING
You shouldn't have to start a new save if you're updating the mod, as Relics of Hyrule has a small footprint.

Download and install the newest Update from the Updates section of the Files Tab.
Make sure the old content is replaced by the new content.

If you use NMM and are installing an update, make sure you select "No" when asked if
you would like to "upgrade" the original. Otherwise things will break. The new content has to replace the old content.

When in doubt, just wait for the main file to update.

I cannot help with NMM issues.
I don't use NMM, I don't like NMM, and don't know how it works. All I know is that NMM tends to have
trouble with large mods. Try to download it manually and install with
NMM, rather than doing both at once. My mod is built so those who prefer
manual installation can install it easily, and if NMM has a problem
with that, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to accommodate its tawdry quirks.
I repeat, I am not accommodating NMM and cannot help with issues related to it.

UNINSTALLING :(

Relics of Hyrule follows standard uninstallation procedures.

1. Unequip all Relics of Hyrule items and go somewhere unaffected by the mod, like a player home, or the Riverwood Trader.
2. If desired, disable active magic effects from things like Triforce Pieces.
3. Wait 24 in-game hours (with the wait function) to allow all scripts to finish their duties.
4. Disable the mod in your load order.
5. If desired, remove the folders containing meshes and textures. Most are in /weapons/hylian or /armor/hylian. A full directory is available in the mod's main file.

Here's a video briefly explaining how to navigate this page and install the mod:

And if you want to know where to start once you've installed the mod, you can pretty much start anywhere. Or you can watch this video:

COMPATIBILITIES
I have made adjustments in the past, but I am no longer going to adjust my mod to accommodate other mods. I don't want people to expect that of me anymore, and if I were to adjust Relics of Hyrule for another mod, then some other mod conflict will come along in the future.

Conflicts are inevitable, and I refuse to change my mod because of another.

Relics of Hyrule is fully compatible with Dual Sheath Redux. The meshes required are included with the installation of Relics of Hyrule.
It should also be compatible with custom skeletons and animations like XPMSE.

evittalex has made a Relics of Hyrule addon/crossover patch for Invasion of Skyrim - GAT. I'm hosting it here, so check out the Optional Files for it!

Perk mods should be compatible because Relics of Hyrule does not rely on perks for crafting. Instead, the recipes rely on your skill and the presence of certain items in your inventory.

Overhauls like Perkus Maximus are not officially supported.

Legacy of the Dragonborn conflicts somewhat with Relics of Hyrule, making some items inaccessible.
Mods that heavily modify Riverwood and Winterhold may make a few minor items inaccessible.
Some mods may conflict with the entrance to a dungeon added by Relics of Hyrule called Morwitijaal, but there's nothing to do about it. Try entering through Mad God Passage or the side entrance for the dungeon.

PERMISSIONS
If you want to use parts of my mod in your mod, you must contact me and explain the specific assets you want to use.
I worked very hard on this mod, and am not willing to provide permission for some items.
Some items were made by others and I cannot give permission for them, and some were made specifically for Relics of Hyrule and cannot be distributed.
DO NOT redistribute RelicsofHyruleDragonborn.esp in ANY WAY. This is the ONLY place to get that file.

If your mod uses Relics of Hyrule assets, you must not charge money for it.
You would then be earning money from my work, and since Relics of Hyrule is based on a Nintendo property, you could get into serious trouble.

Relics of Hyrule is exclusive to the Nexus. It must not be redistributed.
If you have downloaded Relics of Hyrule from somewhere other than the Skyrim Nexus, the file you downloaded was posted illegally, without my consent.

Skyrim Supplemental Patch

$

A comprehensive error correcting patch focusing primarily on object\item placement which addresses and fixes thousands of errors relating to misplaced objects, as well as fixing numerous other types of errors. This patch has taken years to compile, and with the end of the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch,  it is now appropriate to offer the Skyrim community a source to continue to fix the remaining errors that still need to be addressed. This patch is meant to be used in conjunction with the USLEEP patch, though it does not require USLEEP.

The Skyrim Supplemental Patch has an emphasis primarily on object and item placement. Although there are many other errors that are corrected beyond just object placement, object placement is the primary focus of this patch. The Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch does an amazing job at fixing misplaced items, objects and various other errors, but despite its massive scope it is impossible to fix everything, and there are still seemingly endless errors still in need of fixing. Hence why this patch was created, and every fix in this patch is a fix not already addressed by USLEEP making it perfect to go along side it.

The primary focus of the Skyrim Supplemental Patch is to correct objects and items that are misplaced or positioned poorly. It also fixes many other issues such as holes and gaps in the world, such as gaps in the landscape terrain and the like, correcting countless such instances that still remain. The Skyrim Supplemental Patch also fixes small placement errors like those found in many light sources such as burning embers, candles and lanterns. If looked at closely, thousands of these light sources are haphazardly placed resulting in such anomalies as floating burning embers and embers clipping through the bowl that contains them, and floating/clipping candles, lanterns etc. The Skyrim Supplemental Patch painstakingly fixes virtually all of these misplaced objects in the game world.

Exploring various dungeons and caves in the Skyrim World will show in many instances the numerous problems that still remain, such as walls and floors connected to the wrong roombound rendering them invisible, or open gaps that still remain where one can peer through the fabric of the world. The Skyrim Supplemental Patch fixes these numerous occurrences that still remain, correcting roombound association and properly blocking up holes.

Many other types of fixes are also addressed in the Skyrim Supplemental Patch, e.g. the problem with many of the seats/benches located in the world. There are countless benches and chairs in the dungeons and interiors of Skyrim that have been positioned without testing their placement. When actually sat upon, the players head becomes sucked into the wall, providing a view into the skybox nether world and freezing all camera movement until standing up. These numerous placement issues (numbering in the hundreds at least) have all been addressed and carefully re-positioned so they can now function properly.

In addition, any object or item that could reasonably be considered to be out of place or clipping through another object has been fixed, along with countless more error correcting implementations that will improve the Skyrim experience.

The scope of the Skyrim Supplemental Patch goes beyond just object placement issues however. For instance, errors related to such things as item ownership which have not yet been fixed are also corrected. Similarly, related issues such as proper reference data for cells and doors have also been corrected which will benefit users of other mods such as "Simply Knock" users.

Those who use the great mod by Chesko "Simply Knock" will receive added benefits from the errors fixed in the Skyrim Supplemental Patch. Those who use Simply Knock will know that some doors, like all of the doors in Skaal Village and some doors in places like Rorikstead for example, that when tried to be knocked upon don't work. With the Skyrim Supplemental Patch installed, now all of these doors will behave properly and can now be knocked upon with Simply Knock.

Other fixes such as errors related to packages, factions, ingredients, scrolls, AI data, keywords, NPCs and more are also implemented. One may notice for instance that whenever a thief is encountered upon the road who tries to rob the player, the thief apparently has absolutely no concern whatsoever for his or her own safety or well being, and is willing to throw their life away at any time for the chance at a few gold coins. In other words, the intimidate option never works, but with the fixes implemented to the correct AI references in the Skyrim Supplemental Patch, now the encountered thieves will behave properly and can be properly intimidated if the player possesses the high enough intimidate factors.

The Skyrim Supplemental Patch should be compatible with every other mod. I am not yet aware of any mod that would conflict.
It should be safe to use this patch along with any mod setup.

If you do not know where this goes in your load order, place it as high as possible in your load order.

The Skyrim Supplemental Patch requires the Legendary Edition of Skyrim.

Blaeja a Vilja replacer

Meet Blaeja. Blaeja was originally designed to replace the visual look of Vilja so I wouldn't get sick to my stomach. The original Vilja reminds me of my aunt whom I love dearly and the idea of romancing her is freaking me out even at this moment and makes me want to vomit. True story.

Anyway Blaeja and I have history and I don't want to get into it now it's quite complicated but, I'll always love her. However some time back we parted ways amicably but it still hurts talk about it. Blaeja sought Solace in another's arms his name is Shubal. He seems to be a nice guy and I hope they are happy with each other.

Best wishes

This mod does not add the actual arena quest content back in.

This mod use two interesting unused assets, one for the exterior of the Windhelm Pit, and an alternate version of the 'prison' asset that you can find in the vanilla game. The cut version which would have lead to the arena is much better looking.

Also think of searching in the corpses as well as questioning the NPCs to retrieve books/spells or scrolls or weapons or …

Pensez également à fouiller les cadavres et à interroger les PNJ pour récupérer des livres / sorts ou des parchemins ou des armes ou …

Bugs or Problems

No first person view (the hands) for the "Aurorans"

For the Companions : (Small Dwarven Colossus and Dwemer Dogs)

You can only have one follower at a time: if you want a different one, you need to dismiss the first one before you recruit them.

If you have any problem with the dialog box (Wait - Follow - Trade - Favor – Dismiss), or if telling the follower to return at home doesn't dismiss him, or if you have lost the active follower, you can try this:

Type “²” or "`" or "~" key to get into console, and type:

set playeranimalcount to 0

With Amazing Follower Tweaks , or other mod with followers, if problem to dismiss the followers, you can uncheck this mod (AFT or other) when you launch the game

If problem with the Dialog Box of the followers/ companions (Wait - Follow - Trade - Favor - Dismiss) you can also enter / exit a house or make a fast travel

For the Small Dwarven Colossus Mount :

If your mount disappears (with impossibility to dismount): Be patient a few seconds or Zoom out with the scroll Wheel or FAST TRAVEL (This mount needs a lot of space to move around)

« Thank you very much Ubisoft and associates, specially to Far Cry 4 development team, for the permission to use their assets or part of their assets on my nonprofit, fan-made mods.
Also thanks for the Nexus staff for the recognizement of this permission.

Remembering, as resquested
by Ubisoft, that this content:

It's not endorsed by Ubisoft or associates,
or related to their games, specially Far Cry 4;

It's not made for commercial usage, it's completely nonprofit,
as all of my work, including my fully authoral work;

And i don't own it, so, i don't challenge
Ubisoft's copyright on such assets.

Of course on my mods this assets can be modified or increased in order to fit the lore, mechanic, animations, and other goals, of the The Elder Scrolls mod for the Tes 5: Skyrim, where they are now part here on my nonprofit creative series, but this usage is not endorsed by Ubisoft, just kindly allowed by her.

Ubisoft is showing us again how great and kind she is with the fans.
Thank you very much Ubisoft and associates, and thank you very much Nexus, the only place where i share my work. »

Overview
Farnese de Vandimion is a Follower from the Manga/Anime Berserk and can be found at the Four Shields Tavern in DragonBridge. I tried my best to replicate her as best as I could, however there aren't many Berserk mods out there that had the needed recourses for her. Also, bear in mind this is my first mod and there are bound to be mistakes, the ones I have encountered I have fixed and the mod works fine for me.

Known Issues
Previously Farnese would spawn without armor, it should be fixed if you get the bug try to disable then enable her in the console.
For some reason she doesn't wear the cape however I think it just isn't compatible with her armor.
NOTE: AFT - Amazing Follower Tweak, only works if you install AFT before recruiting Farnese.
AFT Fix: Save game (for backup) > Reset AFT > Save game again > load the most recent save > talk to your followers and recruit them before they run off.

Baltimore Weapons
By Billyro

Description

This mod adds 3 new weapons and a buckler to Skyrim, based on pieces by Baltimore Knife & Sword.

There is a falchion (one and two handed), a dane axe (one and two handed versions), a dagger (long and short versions), and buckler (two sizes). All are crafted at a forge, and can be improved with steel ingots. The stats are equal to ebony weapons.

You can preview in real-time here: Falchion (I cannot upload all 4 since Sketchfab introduced its "only one model per month" crap...)

Installation

Manual install: Extract files, copy to your Data folder. Activate the .esp in the Skyrim launcher or Wrye Bash.

Vortex install: Click the Mod Manager Install button, follow Vortex instructions.

Permissions

Feel free to use, just give due credits.

Requirements:

Enhanced Character Edit

Univision Face

The Eyes of Beauty

Fair Skin Complextion

ApachiiSkyHair(if you want the default hair. I am using a wig in the image. I recommend a different hair than default)
Please note, my character face is known to change randomly to a large distorted face, but using the 'showracemenu' command fixes it for me. I suspect this could just be something related to my modlist. Because of this, there is a possibility it may not appear correctly. If this happens, please message me asap!
