INSTALLATION:
- All in one fomod. Install for your version of Skyrim, then your Body used, then head texture choice. Be sure to double-check your selections and run bodyslide afterwards!
- Fomod will attempt to detect your version of Skyrim. You must manually select your body mesh type.
- esp is esm-flagged. Run LOOT.
NOTES:
- Followers and Player using this race CANNOT use footwear, as they have hooves. The skeleton was tweaked to raise NPCs to accomodate for the hoof displacement. If you try to put on regular footwear, Satyresses will float above the ground. I went this route instead of using physics solutions as it is the path of least resistance for users as a whole.
- Heavy and Light armor versions of the hooves can be created at the forge and tempered. This will allow you to take advantage of certain perk benefits but they don't look any different from normal hooves.
- It is very difficult to reduce the seams between the head and body textures, so there are some noticeable seams.
- There are two versions of the face textures in the installer. One has a beast-like nose, the other has a human nose.
- Head textures use Nuska's textures as a base but have been heavily redesigned.
- Some horn variations were built by me using existing parts.
RACE SPECIFICS:

Race: Satyr
Origin: Thought to have originally come from the deep jungles of Valenwood, Satyresses can sometimes be found in secluded places in Skyrim. They are furred and predominantly have a goat-like appearance, including horns which can manifest in a variety of different ways. They are skilled in fighting and survival.
Racial Abilities: Increased Carry Weight (can carry an extra 100 lbs), Hardy (+50 to starting Health and Stamina), increased running/sprinting speed (+50), 2-handed weapon speed increased by 15%.
Customization Features:
- Heads and Bodies are generally 2048 x 2048. There are no other versions offered.
- All standard Hair Colors + 3 Red, 3 Blue, 6 Green.
- All KS Hairdos referenced and usable as hair in CK or Racemenu.
- All standard human Skin Tones.
- 24 Horn Styles + No Horns variant (colors DO NOT change with skin color).
- Faun Tail (color matches skin color).
- 3 Freckle styles that can be applied as "Dirt" layers, in brown, red, blue, green and black colorations. Maps 1-3 range from light to dense.
- 11 Brow Styles + No Brows from Maevan2's Eye Brows with full hair color version and near-black version (23 total).
- 16 Custom Hybrid Eyes based on textures from Natural Eyes.
- Cubemaps from Improved Eye Reflections and Cube Map.
- New Tintmasks for frownlines, eyeliner, neck and nose.
- Customized skin textures highly modified (particularly the head) from Nuska's resources.
- Vampire version of the race for race compatibility.
- There are 6 female presets. One is "neutral", the other 5 are based on the look of the followers provided.
FOLLOWER SPECIFICS:

- All followers are on the stronger side of hero-level followers (a bit tougher than Frea or Serana). They are tough but not undefeatable.
- Some follower abilities are voice-activated so that they do not need to switch out their weapons in order to cast. This follows along the theme I'm going for as the Satyr being divine protectors and hunters.
- Followers level from 5 to unlimited. All mariable.
- Each has 2 or more unique abilities.
- Each follower has a different voice type.
- All followers use vanilla follower system by default. Can be easily managed with NFF, AFT, EFF, etc.
- All have Lightfoot perk.
- All have perks to allow them to benefit from Alchemy and Skill Boosts from enchantments.
- All have perk which links Magnitude of Destruction Spells to Attack Multipier. You can use Nether's Follower Framework or similar mods to modify Attack Multiplier which will also modify Destruction spell damage.
- Each has custom combat style.
- You can quickly obtain them by toggling map markers for their origin points as "points of interest". Enabled via the MCM.
- Each has Extra Storage via dialogue (can be disabled in MCM, hides the dialogue). Storage is separate from normal inventory and can hold 500 lbs. Once storage is full, your inventory will turn grey and you cannot trade to it until something is removed.
- Each can be separately tracked as miscellaneous quest objectives (MCM to enable).
- All have cosmetic versions of the chest piece of their outfits. These items have 0 weight/cost/protection. They have individual pieces in their inventory. This keeps them from going nude but should always allow you to equip them with better items.
- Followers, generally, are placed in less congested game areas. I don't think of Satyresses hanging out in the cities so most these are remote areas or small towns.
- Supported by nearly any mod that affects vanilla voiced followers. They use custom skins so be careful with mods that rely on base vanilla skins.
SPECIAL ADDITIONS:
- Each follower has a perk (nwsHistFriendlyFirePerk) that eliminates friendly fire done to the player, other followers or an NPC set as a player teammate by (Hist-Kin) followers using weapons, destruction spells or shouts. This only takes effect while their weapon is drawn or hands are readied to cast a spell. To see their damage normally, sheath your own weapon. You can give this perk to your own followers you create using this mod as a master.
- Each follower has a perk (nwsHistLinkMAGPerk) that links their Destruction Spell Magnitude to their Attack Damage Multiplier. This means that if you use Nether's Follower Framework or another mod that allows you to set Attack Damage Multiplier on a follower specifically, their Destruction Spell Magnitude will also be affected. If you reduce Attack Power of the follower, their Destruction Magnitude will also be reduced (or vice versa). Example: Changing Attack Damage Multiplier to 0.5 will reduce damage of destruction spells by 0.5.
Common Powers and Abilities:
- Nature's Shield - Similar to Oakflesh (40 defense) but is voice-activated and has double effect when not wearing armor.
- Nature's Armor - Similar to Stoneflesh (60 defense) but is voice-activated and has double effect when not wearing armor.
- Nature's Protection - Similar to Ironflesh (80 defense) but is voice-activated and has double effect when not wearing armor.
General Follower Design:
Three out of five of the followers are designed to work around a two-handed combat style. I see the Satyresses as mystical nature defenders that favor larger weapons. One follower has a dual wielding style and there is only one caster, who is more of a healer type but works well offensively. This might not work for everyone but I think it's more interesting to have these followers designed around a theme. Most of the abilities that the weapon users can cast are voice-activated so that they don't have to switch their weapons out to do that.
